Had chicken chimichangaThe chicken tasted kind of funny so I didn't eat it!Every time I've eaten here I order the chicken chimichanga refried beans rice and it always tastes funny the chicken is and most the time it's not even hot it's an okay Mexican food restaurant or a small town but I'm from California so I know what real Mexican food taste like and I ain't percent of the people are Caucasian that work there

My family loves THIS Mexican Restaurant! Definitely one of the best Mexican Restaurants EVER! The waitresses are not only VERY friendly, but they are also VERY attentive to each customer to ensure that he/she and the chef both know EXACTLY what we want and how we want it!! Their food is ALWAYS madecfresh, served hot, and taste delicious!! Oh! I cant forget to mention, their portions are HUGE!! Thats ALWAYS a plus, right?

Penjamos is an absolutely wonderful place to go to if you are looking for good food. While everything on their menu is delicious, I must say that the cheese dip, Chile Rellono, and Super Fajitas Nachos, are my favs. My family has been going here for years, and every time the staff, food, and overall environment is great. I would completely recommend this restaurant to anyone stopping by Booneville. Have a great day! And remember, if you are ever in Booneville, make sure you stop by this restaurant for some amazing food!

I always judge a Mexican food restaurant based on how they do their complimentary chips and salsa. If they manage to screw that up, there is likely no hope for the rest of the meal. That said, Penjamo passed the test. The salsa was about what you would find at OTB or El Chico....good flavor and not too spicy. The chips were freshly prepared but could have used a touch more salt. Entrees are worth the price and well made. My only complaint is that they do not offer some of the traditional Mexican drinks. I love me a good horchata. Staff is attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is good for a sit-down meal. Bon appetit.

Not only was Penjamo a great Mexican restaurant, I think it is one of the best in the area. Meal looked super good and it was a lot for the price as well.

Great food & service

We love love the food. I try to order something different every time we go witch is hard because what I had the time before was so good. I haven't had one thing here that I didn't love. The salsa is really good too. And the people are always extremely nice and wonderful. We live in Greenwood it is so worth the drive.

Good friendly service, reasonable prices, always. When I special or my carne asada tacos California style they provide and come out great. Ask for there extra hot salsa to top it off perfect.

I love their fajitas taco salad!! I usually get the mix chicken and steak and the toppings are plentiful . So Fresh and tasty. Everyone there is very nice. The decor inside is really bright colorful. All very clean and bathrooms are spotless as well. I love their cheese sauce too. It just has the right amount of spice and Heat.

Good food, prompt and friendly service, and reasonably priced. If a dish isn’t spicy enough just ask for some hot sauce, a delicious hurt. We’ll be back.
